Inline or Offset G Keys
The G keys of a flute can be made inline or offset. There is no difference in the tone produced with inline or offset G keys, it is simply a matter of comfort and preference.
Inline G keys are mounted on the same rod as the rest of the keys on the flute which keeps the keys “in line” with one another.
Offset G keys are slightly closer to the left hand and are mounted on separate posts from the rest of the keys. A growing number of flutists prefer the way offset G flutes fit the curve of their hand.
Azumi flutes are available with your choice of offset or inline G keys.
